I can still remember very well how much I enjoyed playing table tennis as a little boy. Especially the time at high school, where our favorite activity during the long breaks was playing table tennis together. Anyone could take part in the race. You didn't even have to have a ping pong bat; some played with the palm of their hand and I often played with my Latin book “IANU NOVA” because it had a very hard cover…

It's nice to see that the fascination and integration effect of the sport of table tennis remains unbroken to this day and is experiencing a renaissance, especially in the leisure sector.

I am all the more pleased that, as an angel investor, I am co-founding the innovative startup Okapi Tech together with the four passionate hobby table tennis players and founders Johannes Beger, Nikol Levova, Aaron Friesel and Lovis Schmidt and the experienced co-angel investor Konrad Hinkelmann.

Okapi Tech GmbH has set itself the task of offering those interested in table tennis a new digital platform and thus revitalizing the table tennis scene and enriching this affordable and easily accessible sport even further.

With the help of the developed app "pongmasters", everyone can meet other players at their favorite ping pong tables, compete against them and collect points in order to move up in various rankings and thus become part of an ever-growing community.
